The town of Lettere has formally honored Brigadier Ciro Comentale, a native of the town, for his decisive intervention to save a young woman struck by a sudden and severe cardiac arrest.
According to a report published by Metropolis Web on 16 September 2026, Comentale acted promptly when confronted with the medical emergency. His timely and decisive assistance prevented the worst outcome.
In recognition of the rescue, the municipal administration led by Mayor Anna Amendola organized an institutional ceremony. On behalf of the community, Comentale received a formal Letter of Commendation.
