The University of Naples Federico II and DXC Technology Italia have launched EU-GENIA Academy in Naples, a free advanced-training programme focused on generative artificial intelligence, data engineering and software development.
The programme admits a maximum of 25 participants. It is organised as an intensive course lasting 16 weeks and divided into four modules, combining academic lessons, practical laboratories and project-based learning.
Project work and final hackathon
In addition to classroom teaching and laboratory work, the programme includes a project work and a final hackathon. The Academy website describes the 16-week path as four modules followed by applied project work and the closing hackathon event.

Lessons are scheduled to begin on 9 November 2026 at the Complesso Universitario di San Giovanni a Teduccio in Naples.
Applications must be submitted online by 12:00 on 16 October 2026, according to the Federico II announcement.
How selection works
Selection is based on assessment of qualifications, followed by an oral examination for the highest-ranked candidates. The process ends with a final ranking determining the 25 admitted participants.
