In Località Quercioni, Altavilla Silentina, between the Calore valley near Salerno and the Piana del Sele, Tenuta Tortorella works less like a conventional agriturismo and more like a contemporary countryside restaurant.

The kitchen is led by Donatella Scorziello, described by Luciano Pignataro as the anima della cucina. She trained through a regional cooking course followed by an internship at Palazzo Petrucci with chef Lino Scarallo, then gained further experience in restaurants, trattorias and bistrot before returning to cook on the family estate.

Her approach is personal, carefully executed and strongly territorial. Rather than repeating standard agriturismo fare, she keeps the menu short and seasonal, with a stated goal of sourcing around 80 percent of ingredients from the family farm. Cheeses and other selected products come from trusted local producers.

That proportion is possible because the family operation combines agriculture, livestock breeding and an in-house butcher's shop. Its own production includes vegetables, cereals, meat and olive oil.

The dishes reported from the opening period show the direction: brasato meatballs, autumn soups with pumpkin, Controne beans, chestnuts and porcini mushrooms, an allardiata made with zito and lardo, tagliolini with black truffle, and brasato cooked with Aglianico and Cilento myrtle.

At the time of the January 2026 report, when the agriturismo had recently opened, the restaurant had around 60 seats, five rooms with ten beds, and an average price of 40 to 50 euros. Visitors should check the current opening schedule, menu and prices, as they may have changed since publication.
