On 24 September 2026, newly admitted lawyers took the professional oath in the Livatino courtroom of the Palazzo di Giustizia in Avellino, in a ceremony attended by the Avellino Bar Council.
The oath recalls the dignity and social function of the legal profession, along with duties of loyalty, honour, diligence and justice, and the protection of clients' interests.
Addressing the new lawyers, Avellino Bar Council president Fabio Benigni described advocacy as a bridge between the demands of society and the judiciary. He said the number of lawyers had declined sharply in recent years, adding that those who enter the profession with commitment and enthusiasm can still establish themselves.
