The Movimento 5 Stelle council group in Avellino has withdrawn its motion proposing honorary citizenship for Francesca Albanese.

According to IrpiniaNews, the withdrawal was formally communicated to the Presidency of the City Council through official note prot. n. 86321/2026.

As a result, the motion has been removed from the agenda of the next City Council meeting. It had previously been registered for discussion under protocols n. 84753/2026 and n. 85268/2026.

The report does not give a reason for the withdrawal. It is not known from the available source whether the decision followed political or procedural considerations, or whether the motion could be resubmitted at a later meeting.

The council will still discuss the other items on the agenda, including the stadium and Acs.
