The Premio Nazionale “Eccellenze Irpine” returns to Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi on Saturday 26 September 2026 at 17:00.
The ceremony will be held at the Auditorium of the Centro Sociale “Don Bruno Mariani” in Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi. The initiative is ideated and promoted by the Pro Loco Alta Irpinia of Sant’Angelo dei Lombardi.
The 2026 edition recognizes figures from institutions, politics, universities, journalism, cinema, local production and other fields connected to Irpinia.
What the program covers
The program includes awards for living honorees, a section dedicated to deceased personalities and a separate section for special mentions.
Listed 2026 honorees include Giuseppina Zarra, Giuseppe Bruno, Antonio Corbo, Giovambattista Capasso, Alfonso Fasano, Gianni Festa, Toni Iermano, Milena Pepe, Ortensio Zecchino and other institutional, cultural and professional figures.
The “Alla memoria” section includes Don Bruno Mariani, Francesco Saverio Matteo, Francesco Mocella, Gabriele Lucido, Gaetano “Ninì” Imbriano, Luigi “Gino” Nicolais and Giuseppe “Pino” Petito.

A continuing initiative
The previous edition, held in 2025, presented the prize as an initiative intended to preserve and promote Irpinian cultural, human and productive heritage. The 2026 ceremony continues that purpose, with attention to both current and deceased figures connected to Irpinia.
