An elderly man was found dead inside a condominium along the coastal road in Lido Lago, on the outskirts of Battipaglia.
Residents of the building discovered the body and alerted the authorities. Police officers carried out initial investigations at the scene.
The Salerno Prosecutor's Office ordered the seizure of the body, which was transferred to a morgue for an autopsy.
The examination is intended to establish the cause of death and determine whether it was natural. Investigators had not ruled out any hypothesis, including natural causes or other contributing factors.
