A 17-year-old girl from Sarno died following a nighttime road accident on via San Valentino in Sarno.
The teenager was travelling as a passenger in a Fiat Panda driven by her boyfriend. According to the report from Il Mattino, the car overturned and struck an object on the roadway. No second vehicle was reported to have been involved.
The driver, a resident of San Marzano sul Sarno, suffered multiple injuries. He was not initially reported to be in danger of death.
Police, Carabinieri, and 118 emergency medical personnel attended the scene. The State Police station in Sarno is investigating the cause and dynamics of the crash, which had not yet been established.
