A 77-year-old hiker from the province of Turin was injured after a serious fall on the Sentiero degli Dei, the Path of the Gods, on October 2, 2026.
According to Il Mattino Salerno, the accident happened near marker tile 10, in the municipality of Agerola.
The Salerno 118 operations center dispatched its helicopter rescue service and alerted the Alpine and Speleological Rescue service. Rescuers stabilized the woman at the scene, recovered her by winch, and transferred her to the Azienda Ospedaliera San Giovanni di Dio e Ruggi d'Aragona in Salerno.
The report did not specify the exact nature of her injuries or her condition after arrival at the hospital.
