About one thousand women took part in Bosco in Rosa 2026, a non-competitive run and walk of about four kilometres through the Real Bosco di Capodimonte in Naples.

The event took place on Saturday 3 October 2026, with the start scheduled for 16:00 near the Istituto Caselli and the Church of San Gennaro. It was the seventh edition of Bosco in Rosa.

Napoli Running organised the event in collaboration with the Museo e Real Bosco di Capodimonte and SOS Sostenitori Ospedale Santobono ETS.

A four-kilometre walk for Santobono

The initiative supported the humanisation of the new Urology department at the Santobono paediatric hospital, including decorative elements intended to make the hospital environment more welcoming for children.

The route was non-competitive and open to runners and walkers. Participants entered through Porta Miano and Porta Piccola, according to event information reported ahead of the run.

No total amount raised has been reported in the sources consulted, and the final participation figure remains approximate at about one thousand.

Who could take part

Participation in the run and walk was reserved for women. Men were invited to attend as spectators.

The programme included a children's animation service. It also carried messages about prevention, including gynaecological and breast-health prevention.

The afternoon start, the short distance and the non-competitive format kept the focus on participation and solidarity rather than racing.
