Carabinieri from the Caivano company followed a car carrying four people to Casoria and stopped it in Via San Salvatore, near the Globo shopping center.
During the check, a 19-year-old from Marcianise, already known to law enforcement, was arrested on charges of receiving stolen goods and resisting a public officer. Three other people in the car — a 17-year-old from Procida, a 51-year-old woman and a 55-year-old man — were reported for receiving stolen goods.
Searches recovered jewellery and 3,000 euros in cash, which were seized. The Globo center is located in the San Salvatore commercial area of Casoria, at Traversa Quarto San Salvatore 11.
The Carabinieri are working to establish whether the seized items can be linked to thefts or frauds committed in the area. The source report does not specify the origin of the jewellery, nor whether the group was heading to the shopping center or was already under investigation.
