Italy's Guardia di Finanza has seized 30,000 litres of contraband petrol in Marigliano, in the Metropolitan City of Naples, and reported two people to the authorities.

The operation was carried out by the Provincial Command of Naples. According to Il Mattino, officers from the Group of Nola stopped and checked a Polish-registered articulated lorry in connection with the seizure.

The fuel was described as "Designer Fuel." It was allegedly being transported under cover documents that listed it as brake-disc oil, a product exempt from taxation, rather than as taxable fuel.

Two people of Polish nationality were reported following the checks.

What has not been made public in the available report is the date of the operation, the identities of the two people reported, the precise alleged offences, and any subsequent judicial outcome.
