A 35-year-old worker was injured in a workplace accident at a company in the industrial area of Caivano, in the Pascarola district.
According to the initial account reported by Il Mattino, the man was handling a shower tray when he was struck by it. He suffered injuries to his ankle and knee.
Emergency responders with 118 transported him in yellow triage code to the hospital in Pozzuoli. Doctors gave him a 40-day prognosis.
The worker was regularly employed, the report states.
The Carabinieri of Caivano and ASL Napoli 2 Nord are carrying out checks. The exact manner in which the shower tray struck the worker has not been clarified, and no updates on his condition or the outcome of the checks were available.
