Carabinieri officers who went to a Naples home to install an electronic monitoring bracelet arrested a 30-year-old man after finding cannabis in plain view on his kitchen table, according to reports in Il Mattino.

The incident involved officers from the Carabinieri's Napoli Vomero station. The officers were at the man's home to fit the electronic bracelet in connection with a court-ordered ban on approaching his former partner. The reports say the man was already subject to an obligation to report to judicial police.

According to the reports, two jars containing cannabis inflorescences were visible on the kitchen table when the officers entered. A subsequent search of the home reportedly uncovered 150 grams and 200 grams of marijuana, a 94-gram block of hashish, packaging material, a notebook recording alleged drug-sale activity, four bullets and 320 euros in cash.

The man was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for the purpose of dealing and taken to jail pending further judicial proceedings.

The reports do not identify the man by name. The available accounts describe allegations and a pre-trial arrest; they do not establish a final judicial outcome.
