Pietro Astarita has turned 100, and his birthday brought family from across Italy and abroad to Sant'Agnello on the Sorrentine Peninsula.
The celebration took place in the council chamber of the Sant'Agnello municipality, where relatives gathered to mark the milestone with him.
Family members travelled from Rome, Salerno, Caserta and Catanzaro, with others arriving from the Netherlands, according to Il Mattino.
Sant'Agnello mayor Antonino Coppola joined the celebration and presented Astarita with a commemorative plaque.
A passionate Napoli supporter, Astarita also received a Napoli shirt bearing the number 100.
