A 26-year-old Neapolitan man, identified by the initials A.N., died after falling from a scooter in the San Pietro a Patierno district of Naples, according to Il Mattino.
The crash occurred at approximately 2 a.m. on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday on via Nuova detta Casoria. Three people were reportedly riding the same scooter at high speed, and the other two left the scene and remain unaccounted for.
Investigators are examining whether the group was fleeing after attempting a robbery. That account remains an investigative hypothesis, not an established fact.
The exact dynamics of the fall are still under investigation, as are the identities and whereabouts of the other two people reportedly on the scooter. No independent corroboration beyond the Il Mattino reports was available.
