ASIA's C-10 operational district has carried out an extraordinary cleanup in a green area on via Vicinale Lettieri, in Ponticelli, removing waste that had been illegally abandoned among tall weeds and overgrowth.
According to the report, the site contained bulky waste, construction debris, and bags of organic waste. Rodents were reported in connection with the abandoned rubbish and overgrown vegetation.
The intervention included cutting the tall weeds, removing the waste, and cleaning and sanitizing the adjacent roads and pavements. A Bobcat was used during the cleanup.
The area was not assigned to ASIA for management, although ASIA had intervened there previously and had installed some separate-collection bins. The nearest inhabited area is served by door-to-door waste collection. No quantity of waste removed, responsible managing authority, enforcement action, or future monitoring plan was specified.
