A 24-year-old man from Secondigliano was brought to the CTO hospital in Naples in serious condition during the night after suffering three stab wounds to the abdomen. He remains under reserved prognosis.
According to Il Mattino, the young man arrived shortly before 2 a.m., transported by car and left near the emergency department. Medical staff found three knife wounds to his abdomen and admitted him in serious condition.
Police said the victim was initially uncooperative and gave an uncertain account of what happened. The exact location where the stabbing took place has not been established, although the assault may have occurred in a peripheral area of Secondigliano near the border with Casavatore.
The identity of the person who drove him to the hospital is unknown, and the attacker or attackers have not been identified.
Investigators are considering a possible connection with violence linked to disputes between local gangs, but the motive has not been confirmed and no link to other incidents has been established.
The CTO and the wider northern Naples area have also been the setting for other violent incidents, but those reports concern different victims and separate events and should not be confused with this case.
