A large fire broke out on the evening of 21 September 2026 in a depot on via Nuova delle Brecce, in Naples's Poggioreale area.
The blaze produced a column of smoke visible from several kilometres away. According to Il Mattino, the depot was reportedly associated with Gambardella Trasporti.
Flames began affecting the adjacent Battimiello company warehouse. Firefighters and Carabinieri were at the scene, with extinguishing operations ongoing at the time of publication.
Some residents in nearby homes were evacuated as a precaution. No injuries were reported.
The cause and exact dynamics of the fire remained unclear, and the final extent of the damage to the two warehouses had not been reported.
