Two children's bicycles were stolen outside a school in Caivano, prompting an appeal from parents to the local administration for more protection around school buildings.
According to Il Mattino, the parents asked for greater security and territorial control in the areas around schools after the thefts.
Mayor Antonio Angelino responded by saying the municipality would increase surveillance outside schools, including use of the video-surveillance system. "Rafforzeremo vigilanza e sicurezza davanti alle scuole," he said.
No further details about the school involved, the timing of the thefts, or any suspects have been reported.
