Caserta is preparing its Christmas and New Year's programme, centred on events, light installations, and a large open-air concert on 31 December. The city has moved to the evaluation stage of a public notice for the design, organization, promotion, and delivery of the festive programme, linked to Caserta's strategic plan for culture and tourism.

Ten operators initially answered the call. After preliminary eligibility checks, seven remained in the running. Applicants were required to demonstrate financial capacity, relevant experience in organizing events, administrative regularity, and immediate availability.

Proposals will be scored out of 100 points. The published criteria include artistic and cultural quality, tourism appeal, reliability and comparable experience, involvement of local communities and venues, and the effectiveness of the proposed communication plan. The municipality expected to identify the selected operator within about ten days.

The requested programme covers the city centre, its villages, and Casertavecchia. It includes artistic lighting, projections and videomapping involving monuments and historic buildings, alongside living nativity scenes, including activity in the historic villages.

Music is a central part of the proposal. The programme was expected to include a major open-air concert in a central square on 31 December, plus acoustic and choral concerts in churches, with emphasis on the Neapolitan eighteenth-century tradition, gospel, jazz, and theatre connected to the Christmas period.

The broader funding context includes 480,000 euros allocated to Caserta for cultural and tourism initiatives during the festive period, with activities intended to extend toward spring.

The final operator, artists, venues, dates, budget allocation by activity, and complete event calendar have not yet been confirmed.
