A collision between a car and a heavy goods vehicle on State Road 372, known as the Telesina, left one person dead and two others injured in the municipality of Pietravairano, in the province of Caserta.
According to Il Mattino, the crash prompted a temporary closure of the lane toward Caianello. Traffic continued in both directions under an alternating one-way system while rescue and road-clearance operations were underway.

The SS 372 Telesina links the A1 motorway junction at Caianello with Benevento over about 71 kilometres, according to ANAS, with a mix of single-carriageway and dual-carriageway sections.
