Carabinieri in Maddaloni carried out two separate domestic-violence interventions within a few hours, arresting two men in what Il Mattino described as cases that could have escalated further.
In the first case, a 42-year-old man was arrested after allegedly being found at the home of his former partner. According to the report, he was already subject to a ban on approaching the woman, with electronic monitoring. Following the arrest, the judicial authority ordered house arrest at a relative's home.
In the second case, a 40-year-old man was arrested after an alleged verbal and physical attack against his cohabiting mother in the Via Feudo area of Maddaloni. The report says the intervention followed an emergency call to 112. The suspect was taken to Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison pending judicial proceedings.
