Two boys aged 16 and 15 were reported to the juvenile judicial authority after allegedly failing to stop at a Carabinieri checkpoint in Gricignano di Aversa and leading officers on a car pursuit through the town.
According to reports from Il Mattino, ANSA and Pupia.tv, the episode occurred during a territorial-control operation. Carabinieri reportedly ordered a Fiat Panda to stop, but the driver continued, prompting a pursuit lasting several minutes.
The vehicle, described as a yellow Fiat Panda, was stopped on via Gramsci. The occupants were identified as a 16-year-old driver and a 15-year-old passenger, both reported as being from Orta di Atella.
The 16-year-old was reportedly driving without a licence and had a previous violation of the same kind during the preceding two-year period. Both minors were reported while free for alleged dangerous flight, failure to obey the order to stop and improper use of the vehicle in cooperation.
The Fiat Panda was placed under administrative seizure pending possible confiscation. No injuries were reported, and the two youths were entrusted to their parents.
ANSA dated its report on the episode to 2 November 2026. The exact date and time of the incident were not stated precisely in the reports acquired. The reports concern allegations, and the presumption of innocence remains in force until a final conviction.
