Massimiliano Allegri said Napoli will need a performance of balance and quality in the club's second Champions League match, describing Villarreal as a complicated opponent.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Allegri identified Villarreal as an organised team that concedes little. He pointed in particular to their quality in one-on-one situations, especially on the wings.
Allegri said Napoli would need to interpret the match better than in its previous game against Frosinone, stressing order, balance and quality as the priorities.
On team news, Allegri said Scott McTominay was progressing, but that a possible start would be assessed on match day.
He also emphasised calm and balance, and turning the supporters' enthusiasm into positive energy for the match.
