Benevento has scheduled an extraordinary cleaning of the storm drains on Viale Mellusi, with temporary parking restrictions in place for two days.
The work will cover the section of Viale Mellusi between the intersections with Via Meomartini and Via Nicola Sala. According to NTR24, the cleaning has been assigned to Ecologia Sannita.
Cleaning is scheduled for Wednesday 21 and Thursday 22 October, from 08:00 to 18:00.
During the works, the carriageway will be narrowed and temporary bans on parking and stopping will apply, with forced removal of vehicles. The bans also apply to authorised residents and parking-permit holders.
The restrictions will rotate by side of the street:
- On 21 October, they concern parking spaces on the right side in the direction of travel.
- On 22 October, they concern parking spaces on the left side.
Temporary signs will mark the areas affected. Pedestrian passage and access to businesses must be maintained while the work is under way.
Drivers planning to use Viale Mellusi on those two days should move parked vehicles out of the marked spaces in advance and allow extra time for the narrowed carriageway.
