Student fashion, craft and design take over one of Benevento's most evocative ancient monuments on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, with the first edition of the "Festival Campano del Made in Italy – Scuole in Rete per il MIT".

The event runs from 10:00 to 14:00 at the Roman Theatre complex in Benevento, according to NTR24. It is promoted by the IIS "Alessandro Lombardi" of Airola and brings together upper secondary schools from across Campania.

A runway around the Roman Theatre

The creations will be presented along the perimeter of the Teatro Romano, in a format that combines tailoring performances, musical interludes and staged tableaux.

The programme includes collections and projects devoted to fashion, accessories, craft, design and regional traditions. Among the announced titles:

  • "Campania Felix" by the IPIA Moda of Airola
  • "Trame sostenibili in Costiera Amalfitana" by the institute of Afragola
  • "L'Utopia Serica" by the institute of Cerreto Sannita

Other participating schools present projects on memory, accessories and local traditions, linking fashion work to Campania's artisanal heritage.

Schools celebrating Made in Italy

The festival is conceived as a meeting point for schools working on Made in Italy themes, from fashion design to sustainable craft.

According to NTR24, the event has the patronage of the City of Benevento, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education and Merit, with the support of Confindustria and the national Notte della Moda network.

The venue: Teatro Romano di Benevento

For visitors, the setting is part of the story. The Teatro Romano di Benevento dates from between the late 1st and early 2nd century AD and stands in Piazza Ponzio Telesino, according to the Ministry of Culture.

The monument offers visitor services and exhibition spaces, making it both an archaeological site and a cultural venue for events such as this festival.
