A section of Via Annunziata in Benevento will be closed to vehicular traffic on the morning of Saturday, 24 October 2026, to allow building work to be completed safely.

The closure will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., unless the work finishes earlier. It applies to the stretch of Via Annunziata between the intersections with Via Tenente Pellegrini and Via Borgia, according to the notice published by the Municipality of Benevento and reported by NTR24.

Why the closure is needed

The measure will allow a work vehicle or truck-mounted crane to be positioned and operated safely in order to complete renovation work at No. 11 Via Annunziata.

Parking restrictions

Stopping and standing will be prohibited, with removal, in the section between No. 8 and No. 4 Via Annunziata during the closure period.

The ban applies even to residents and other holders of permits for the Annunziata limited-traffic zone.

Access for residents and emergency vehicles

Emergency and rescue vehicles, residents, and other authorised persons will still be able to reach homes and garages up to the affected point.

Access in that area will be assisted by traffic marshals.

What to know if you are driving through

If you normally use Via Annunziata on Saturday morning, plan to avoid the section between Via Tenente Pellegrini and Via Borgia between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

No alternative routes were specified in the municipal notice, so allow extra time and follow on-site directions from the traffic marshals. The road may reopen before 1:30 p.m. if the work is completed early, but no more precise reopening time was given.
