Ficomirrors reportedly plans to transfer production currently carried out at its Morcone site, in the province of Benevento, to Poland from the second half of 2029. The production concerned is mirrors for the Stellantis Ducato.

The report has prompted an appeal for an institutional response from Fernando Errico, a Campania regional councillor. Errico is calling for a meeting involving the company, trade unions and relevant authorities to protect production and employment.

Errico said he supports the request by Fiom-Cgil for a negotiating table at the Benevento Prefecture. The stated concerns include jobs, affected families, industrial expertise built up at the site, suppliers and the wider local economy.

Errico also said he has informed Campania's councillor for production affairs, Fulvio Bonavitacola, and Campania president Roberto Fico.

What remains unclear from the available reporting is whether the Prefecture has accepted or scheduled the requested meeting. The sources do not include a direct statement from Ficomirrors or its parent group Ficosa explaining the reported transfer decision, nor do they provide a verified figure for affected employees or suppliers. No alternative industrial plan for retaining production in Morcone has been confirmed.
