A night break-in at the Puntotel shop and service centre in Montesarchio has left the owners dealing with stolen goods, damage to the premises, and a shaken sense of security.
The incident took place during the night between Friday and Saturday, according to the report published by NTR24 on September 19. Surveillance cameras recorded two people inside the shop with their faces concealed and caps pulled down.
According to the report, the two intruders played different roles. One took technological devices and electronic material, while the second searched the interior and damaged displays and shop windows.
Footage from the shop's surveillance system was circulated online after the incident, showing the masked figures moving through the premises.
Authorities acquired the complete recordings and were investigating the case at the time of the report. The exact inventory and value of the stolen goods had not yet been established, and the identities of the two people in the footage remained unknown. No arrests or investigative outcome were reported.
For the victims, the damage goes beyond what was taken. They described the impact as extending beyond the material losses to a loss of tranquillity and security — the feeling that their workplace is no longer safe.
