Water service will be suspended for ten hours on Thursday 22 October 2026, from 14:00 to midnight, in several municipalities in the Sannio area, according to a report by NTR24.

The interruption is linked to urgent work on the main water pipeline in the Torre area of Paduli. NTR24 attributes the work to Acquedotto Campano, acting on behalf of the Campania Region.

Where the shutdown applies

According to the NTR24 report, the planned suspension concerns:

  • Paduli
  • Pietrelcina
  • Pesco Sannita
  • Pago Veiano
  • Campolattaro
  • Pontelandolfo
  • Fragneto Monforte
  • Sant'Arcangelo Trimonte

The STIR facility in Casalduni is also included. In Apice, the measure concerns only Ferrovie dello Stato and high-speed railway users, according to the same report.

What to expect when service resumes

The report says temporary water turbidity may occur when supply resumes. It describes the effect as expected to be brief and not affecting potability, while advising residents to let the water run for several minutes before use.

Residents planning around the 14:00-24:00 window may want to store water needed for the afternoon and evening in advance and allow for reduced availability during those hours.
