The Irpinia Sannio Chamber of Commerce is putting 100,000 euros on the table to help tourism businesses in the provinces of Avellino and Benevento keep visitors longer. The instrument is the Bando Voucher Turismo 2026, a grant scheme aimed at strengthening the local tourism offer and turning short visits into multi-night stays.

The starting point is clear. In 2025, Avellino and Benevento together recorded around 464,000 overnight stays, equal to 1.9% of the Campania total reported in press coverage of the initiative. The average length of stay was 3.1 nights in Irpinia and 2.1 nights in Sannio, compared with 3.7 nights for Campania as a whole. Extending those stays is the explicit goal of the chamber's strategy.

Who can apply

The call is open to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, either individually or in aggregated form, with a registered office or operational unit in the provinces of Avellino or Benevento.

The supply chain covered is broad. It includes accommodation, restaurants and catering, tourist services, culture, events, sport and recreational activities, as well as agrifood and artisan businesses with documented visitor experiences. Final eligibility in each case depends on ATECO codes, authorizations and the other requirements set out in the official call and its annexes.

What the voucher covers

Eligible projects concern digital innovation, improvement of hospitality quality, sustainability, accessibility, and the creation of tourism products and experiences, including itineraries, packages and experiential offers.

The grant covers 50% of eligible expenditure, up to 3,500 euros for individual businesses and up to 5,000 euros for consortia and business networks. The minimum investment indicated in the call is 2,000 euros.

For readers, the practical effect is straightforward: a small hotel improving online booking and accessibility, a restaurant building a food-and-wine experience with local producers, or several operators jointly creating an itinerary can recover half of the admitted costs within those ceilings.

How and when to apply

Applications must be submitted through the ReStart platform managed by InfoCamere. Final submission is scheduled from 10:00 on 26 November to 23:59 on 10 December 2026, unless funds run out earlier.

Businesses interested in applying should review the official call page on the Irpinia Sannio Chamber of Commerce website well in advance, since resources may be exhausted before the closing date and admission depends on meeting all formal requirements.

Beyond the grant: buyers, Mirabilia and events

The voucher is part of a wider chamber strategy. According to the reporting on the initiative, it is linked to promotion targeting tourism buyers, participation in the Mirabilia project, and work to raise the quality of events as tourism drivers.

That context matters for applicants. Investments that make it easier to sell the area to organized buyers — bookable packages, clear itineraries, accessible facilities, sustainable practices — align most directly with the stated aim of longer stays.

The statistics on overnight stays and average stay cited in press reports do not include a detailed statistical source in the official call page consulted, and the final outcome of applications and their impact on overnight stays cannot yet be assessed.
