The mayor of Moiano has issued a temporary, precautionary ban on using water from the municipal network for drinking and for preparing or cooking food.
The measure follows microbiological non-conformity found in water samples, identified through analyses carried out by Tecno Bios S.r.l.
Where the samples were taken
According to the report, the samples were collected at three points:
- Fontana del Santuario di San Pietro
- Fontana di Luzzano
- Fontana di Piazza Umberto I
What the ban covers
The restriction applies across the territory served by Moiano's water network. It remains in force until drinking-water conditions are restored.
Residents should not use tap water from the municipal network for drinking or for food preparation and cooking until further notice. Users in the Airola area served by Moiano's network are also to be informed.
What happens next
The municipality has ordered new sampling, further analyses, and technical measures to bring water parameters back within legal limits.
The ban is expected to remain in effect until favorable new test results are received and a formal revocation order is issued. No subsequent test results or revocation notice were available at the time of the report, and the exact microbiological parameter behind the non-conformity was not specified.
