The second edition of the Festival "Teatro Amatoriale – Città di Benevento" has come to a close at the Teatro Blu de "La Fagianella" in Benevento.
The festival was organized by the Compagnia La Nuova Bottega di Benevento under the artistic direction of Lia Zito. The closing evening featured a performance by the Compagnia Comica Salernitana of Bonelli and Avallone, followed by the awards ceremony and a buffet.
Company awards
Compagnia "I Lucaroni" of Mogliano won Best Production.
Germano Benincaso of Compagnia "Amici dell'Arte" won Best Direction.
Three special company prizes were awarded:
- Fagianella Award: Compagnia Comica Salernitana
- Young Talents Award: Compagnia "Amici a Teatro"
- Fantasy Award: Compagnia "Quelli che… le Pipe"
Acting awards
- Best Leading Actress: Anna Alboreto
- Best Leading Actor: Daniele Cautiero
- Best Supporting Actor: Pietro De Angelis
- Best Supporting Actress: Paola Cruciani
- Best Character Actor: Antonio De Michele
- Best Monologue: Stefania Lamberti
A Special Mention went to Arturo Monaco, Antonella Rebecca Pinoli, and Carlo Albanese.
Third edition announced
The third edition is scheduled to begin on 4 October at the Teatro Blu de "La Fagianella", with 19 performances planned through May 2027.
