An unauthorized rural building in Via Casa Coppola, in the municipality of Agerola, has been demolished.

The demolition implemented an order connected to a 2008 sentence issued by the Tribunal of Torre Annunziata, Gragnano section.

What was demolished

The structure had three levels of approximately 79 square metres each, for a total of about 237 square metres. It had a pitched wooden roof and was intended for use as a deposit.

Protected site

The site was subject to landscape and environmental protection. It is included in the Monti Lattari Regional Park and is subject to seismic classification and elevated landslide risk.

How the demolition was carried out

The owner carried out the demolition directly through self-demolition. This avoided advance expenditure by the Municipality of Agerola and Cassa Depositi e Prestiti.
