Eight people are under precautionary measures in an alleged cigarette-smuggling operation connecting Naples with Foggia and Cerignola, according to a report by Metropolis Web.
The operation was carried out by the Guardia di Finanza's Economic and Financial Police Unit of Foggia. Four suspects were placed under house arrest, while four others were subjected to a residence obligation.
According to investigators cited in the report, Naples allegedly served as the supply and storage point for the network, with Foggia and Cerignola as distribution areas. Investigators identified three tobacco-storage depots in Naples, located between Borgo Sant'Antonio Abate and Piazza Mercato.
Of the four suspects linked to the Foggia area, three reportedly reside in Cerignola and one resides in Foggia.
