Alessandro Ciccarelli, a 30-year-old known in Sant'Anastasia, died after losing control of his motorcycle on the SS162dir near Acerra.
According to Metropolis Web, the crash occurred on the SS162dir in the direction of Acerra. The motorcycle left the roadway or otherwise became uncontrolled, and the subsequent fall and impact with the asphalt proved fatal.
Emergency services and law-enforcement officers attended the scene. The cause of the loss of control had not been established, and it remained unclear whether another vehicle was involved.
Following the crash, the SS162dir was temporarily closed near kilometre 18.400, with traffic diverted toward the SS162NC, known as the Asse Mediano.
Ciccarelli was living temporarily in Marigliano with his family. He was married and had been renovating a home in Sant'Anastasia, where he planned to return permanently with his family. The report describes trap shooting, or tiro a volo, as one of his major interests.
