Pompei has joined the tenth edition of the "Staffetta sui Diritti Luigi Bellocchio," a regional initiative promoted by the Laboratorio Regionale Città dei bambini e delle bambine.
The relay brings together several municipal administrations across Campania to promote the protection and rights of children and adolescents. This year's symbolic theme is "La Vela dei diritti," linked to the values of peace, welcome, justice and participation.
The 2026 route began in San Giorgio a Cremano. Pompei was represented at the opening ceremony by Gianfranco Benincasa, confirming the city's participation in the regional programme.
