Carabinieri carried out a dawn anti-Camorra operation in the Naples area on 21 September 2026, executing precautionary custody measures against 34 people.
The measures were issued by the investigating judge in Naples at the request of the Naples District Anti-Mafia Directorate. Those concerned are suspected, to varying degrees and at this stage of the proceedings, of links to the Angelino clan.
According to the reported investigation, the Angelino organization is described as dominant in parts of Caivano and Casoria. The allegations include armed Camorra-type association, drug trafficking or possession, and extortion aggravated by mafia methods.
The operation involved the Carabinieri Investigative Unit of Castello di Cisterna together with the operational sections of the Caivano and Casoria companies.
