Carabinieri carried out an anti-drug operation in Torre Annunziata on 7 October 2026, seizing a small cannabis plantation and more than 700 grams of marijuana.
The search focused on a plot of land on via Cavour associated with a local 41-year-old man, according to reports from Metropolis Web, Il Mattino, and TorreSette.
What investigators found
During the search, investigators seized nine cannabis indica plants, each approximately 1.5 metres tall.
They also seized 724 grams of marijuana divided into four packages, along with packaging material and a precision scale.
Arrest
The 41-year-old man was arrested and transferred to prison pending the judicial process.
The final judicial outcome has not been established, and the provenance of the seized marijuana and its alleged intended destination remain subject to further investigation.
