Avellino has issued temporary parking and traffic restrictions around the All Saints period and the 4 November ceremony, reported by IrpiniaNews as Ordinanza Dirigenziale n. 603/2026.
Cemetery area: 29 October to 3 November
From 07:00 to 18:30 on 29, 30 and 31 October and on 1, 2 and 3 November, parking is prohibited with forced removal along the specified sections of Parco della Rimembranza and Viale Oberty near the Avellino cemetery.
The full text of the ordinance was not reproduced in the research available, so drivers should check on-site signs for the exact sections affected and any exemptions.
4 November ceremony
On 4 November, from 08:00 until the end of the ceremony, traffic and parking are prohibited on Via Matteotti.
Temporary traffic suspensions are also planned on Corso Europa and Via De Sanctis during the wreath-laying ceremony. Vehicles arriving from Via Mancini must turn left onto Via Mazas while the arrangements are in force.
What drivers should do
The municipality advises residents to follow temporary signage and consider alternative routes.
Local coverage has previously noted traffic pressure in Avellino when the Commemoration of the Dead coincided with a football match, with increased municipal police presence. That earlier report concerns a separate occasion and does not confirm the 2026 arrangements. No independently verified information was available on public transport diversions, cemetery access arrangements, or alternative parking locations.
