The second edition of the Baiano Festival took place in Piazza Santo Stefano, in Baiano, on Sunday 11 October, combining music, literature and theatre in a single evening.
According to local reports, the programme was condensed into one evening because of adverse weather conditions. The event was promoted by the Municipality of Baiano with the contribution of the Campania Region, presenting cultural activity as a way to support young talent and promote the Baianese area.
The evening brought together established figures from Italian entertainment and emerging musicians. The programme featured Veronica Maya, Max Giannini, Maurizio de Giovanni, Roberto Colella, Michele Placido, Lina Sastri and Francesco Sarcina.
Ten emerging artists competed in the musical contest and were assessed by both a technical jury and a popular jury. The singer-songwriter Sansone won the competition with the song "Dimmi Dimmi Dimmi".
The Carlo Sarno Prize was awarded to Aniello Sgamabati.
