A large tree fell in front of a house in Sala Consilina after strong winds moved through the Vallo di Diano during the night, blocking the entrance and preventing the residents from leaving.
The fall caused alarm for the people inside, who were unable to get out until help arrived.
Firefighters from the local Sala Consilina station intervened at the house. They cut up and removed the fallen tree, freed the family and made the area safe.
According to the report, no serious wider problems were recorded in the area.
