A 43-year-old woman died in Laurino after falling more than ten metres from the roof of her home. Neighbours heard a loud impact and raised the alarm.
According to the reported account, her husband was asleep inside the house at the time, while the couple's two children were away. Carabinieri and forensic personnel investigated the scene overnight.
Investigators had not ruled out either an accidental fall or a voluntary act. A hypothesis that she may have fallen while trying to retrieve a cat was reported, but it remained unconfirmed.
The woman left two children, a 16-year-old son and a 19-year-old daughter. Her body was placed at the disposal of the magistracy for further investigations, while the exact circumstances and sequence of the fall remained undetermined.
