Police in Mugnano di Napoli arrested a 26-year-old man on suspicion of possessing narcotics for the purpose of dealing.
According to the police account reported by Il Mattino, officers from the Giugliano-Villaricca commissariat were carrying out an anti-drug operation when they saw the suspect exchange a suspected substance for money while sitting on a scooter in via Bivio.
The other person involved in the alleged exchange fled the scene, driving the wrong way along a one-way street and evading officers.
Police stopped the 26-year-old and found him carrying 17 packets of cocaine and 20 euros in cash.
