Police in Naples have seized the clothes and personal bag of an 18-year-old Ukrainian woman who reported being drugged and sexually assaulted in an apartment near Via Bologna, in the Vasto area.
According to Il Mattino, the woman arrived at Cardarelli Hospital in a state of shock and was placed in the hospital's "percorso rosa" support pathway for alleged victims of violence. The medical report included a prognosis of 30 days.
Investigators seized the jeans and shirt she was wearing, along with her personal bag, for laboratory examination. The tests are intended to look for biological traces, genetic profiles, or possible drug residues.
Investigators were also reported to be examining surveillance footage from the area and awaiting toxicology results.
The alleged assault, drugging, and possible unlawful confinement had not been conclusively established in the report. The identities and number of suspected perpetrators remained unconfirmed, and the substance allegedly administered, if any, had not been identified. The outcome of the forensic, toxicological, and surveillance checks was not yet available.
