A robbery in central Marano targeted a man described as a prominent figure linked to the Orlando clan, according to Il Mattino. The attackers took a Rolex from the victim in a rapid street robbery.

The victim had recently returned to freedom after a period in prison, the report says. No name was published.

According to the account, the robbery was over quickly. The attackers fled on a scooter or motorcycle.

Investigations were underway to reconstruct what happened and identify those responsible. Details such as the exact time and spot in the town center, the number of attackers, whether weapons were used, and the model and value of the watch were not reported.

Il Mattino also noted a separate scooter robbery on Via Baracca in the preceding days, described as apparently unrelated to the Rolex robbery.
