Campania is under a yellow weather alert from 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12, until 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026. The alert was issued by the Protezione Civile della Regione Campania and covers the entire regional territory.
Forecasters expect rain and locally intense thunderstorms during the alert period. The focus of the warning is hydrogeological risk.
According to the regional notice, potential effects include flooding, river overflows, surface runoff, rising water levels in watercourses, falling rocks, and landslides. The notice also points to the fragility of soils, worsened by rainfall in recent days and by fires.
Local authorities have been asked to activate their Centri Operativi Comunali and to apply the measures set out in municipal civil protection plans.
