Italy's Guardia di Finanza in Naples has carried out a preventive asset seizure worth an estimated 1.7 million euros against a construction entrepreneur from the Stabia area and members of his family.

According to the investigative accounts reported by the sources, the businessman allegedly financed criminal activities of the D'Alessandro clan and acted as an intermediary in imposing extortion demands.

Economic and asset investigations covering the period from 1997 to 2024 reportedly found a disproportion between declared income and the assets attributable to the entrepreneur and his relatives.

The seized property includes five real estate units, a garage, company shares, the entire business assets of two companies operating in the construction sector, and a savings deposit.

Il Mattino identifies the entrepreneur as Liberato Paturzo, known as "Coco," from Gragnano, and reports that he had previously served sentences for mafia-type association and extortion.

The seizure was ordered by the Court of Naples in preventive asset proceedings. It is a preventive measure, not a final confiscation or a new conviction, and the reported links to the clan remain investigative assessments whose final judicial outcome has not been independently verified. The sources do not provide the exact location of each property or the separate value of individual assets.
