An inspection of two adjoining renovation sites on Via Nenni in Villaricca found alleged environmental, building-safety and labour violations, according to reporting by Il Mattino Napoli. Two entrepreneurs were reported following the checks.
At the two sites, inspectors reportedly found about two cubic metres of hazardous special waste that had allegedly been deposited and mixed unlawfully. The material was placed under seizure.
Workers renovating the two buildings were found to be employed irregularly and lacked mandatory occupational-safety training. Further labour-law checks were assigned to the Carabinieri Nucleo Ispettorato del Lavoro (NIL).
The operation also involved what was described as an unauthorized scaffold. Technical details about the structure and the specific sanctions were not available in the reporting acquired, nor were the identities of the entrepreneurs, the number of workers involved, or the current status of any proceedings.
